What is a Company?

A company is a group of two or more people intending to engage in a legal business and register that group under the Companies Act.

Types of Companies:

• Foreign Company
• Private Company
• Public Company

Requirements for Company Registration:

• The applicant must have a National ID number from NIDA
• Each shareholder must have a National ID number from NIDA
• For foreign nationals: a National ID from NIDA or a passport, and a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) for each director

• Integrity Form
• Consolidated Form

10 Steps to Register a Company:

1. Visit www.bpra.go.tz or orsz.bpra.go.tz
2. Log into your online registration account (ORS) or create an account in the system
3. Select “Online Services”
4. Select “Company”
5. Choose the “Type of Service”
6. Choose the “Type of Company”
7. Fill in the relevant company information
8. Upload attachments in the system
9. Make payment via mobile phone or bank
10. Your application will be processed after payment is received
